Ministry of Higher Education is monitoring the student conditions abroad due to the coronavirus pandemic

As the coronavirus pandemic situation is escalating rapidly around world, Ministry of Higher Education is closely monitoring the Maldivian student conditions abroad.When the coronovirus started to spread in China, information about the students studying in China were shared with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Students studying at the Hubei province, Wuhan City are being closely monitored as the city is in lockdown. There are 6 students studying at 6 Wuhan City, and 44 students studying at other areas of China.

As per the announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we would like to urge all the Maldivian students studying in China to register with the Maldivian Embassy in China. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China has assured the health and safety of the Maldivian students would be taken care of.

Ministry of Higher Education would like to bring to the attention of all the students sutdying abroad to adhere with the instructions given by the Health Protection Authorities and the embassies in the respective countries where students are residing in.
