Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) has commenced design works of additional state of the art Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Center and a Polytechnic institute today. 

The scope of works included preparation of conceptual designs and detailed drawings for the development of a Polytechnic institute at K.Thulusdhoo and a TVET Center at HDh.Kulhudhuffushi. Student Accommodation Facilities are also set to be developed along with the proposed Higher Education Institutes.

Design works have been awarded to SIARCH Pvt. Ltd on a brief meeting held at the Ministry of Higher Education. The Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Higher Education, Fathimath Hilmy signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry and Managing Director of SIARCH Pvt. Ltd Mohamed Siraj signed on behalf of SIARCH Pvt. Ltd.

State-of-the-art TVET centers are multi-disciplinary institutes equipped with modern labs and training facilities. Correspondingly, Vocational education and training prospects will be expanded through the Polytechnic Center offering Certificate-1 to Advance Diploma Programs. Ultimately, Degree programs will be offered in the areas of Technical and Vocational Education and Training.
